By the end of this lesson, the student will be able to recognize and describe indicator lights in cars.

Materials and Prep

Materials: Toy cars with indicator lights

Prep: None required

Activities

1. Show the student a toy car with indicator lights and explain what they are.

2. Ask the student to identify the different indicator lights on the toy car.

3. Discuss the purpose of each indicator light and when it is used.

4. Allow the student to play with the toy car and practice using the indicator lights.

  • "Indicator lights are the special lights on a car that tell us when the car is turning or stopping."
  • "We use the blinker light to show which way we are going to turn."
  • "The red lights at the back of the car tell other cars when we are stopping."
