Activities

  • Go on a "house tour" with the student, pointing out and naming items in Spanish as you go. For example, "Esta es la cocina. Aquí está la mesa (This is the kitchen. Here is the table)."

  • Play a game of "I Spy" in Spanish, where you take turns describing an item in the home using Spanish words and the student has to guess what it is. For example, "Veo algo rojo (I spy something red)."

  • Create flashcards with pictures of items found in the home and their Spanish names. Practice naming the items in Spanish together.
