Objective

By the end of this lesson, the student will be able to understand the basic concepts of Earth Science related to building, including the materials used and the impact of weather on structures.

Materials and Prep

- Paper and pencil
- Building blocks or Legos
- Access to a window or outdoor space to observe weather
- Basic understanding of different types of weather (sunny, rainy, windy, etc.)

Activities

1. Building Challenge: Have the student use building blocks or Legos to construct a simple structure. Encourage them to think about the different materials they are using and how they fit together.

2. Weather Observation: Take the student to a window or outdoor space to observe the weather. Discuss how different types of weather can affect buildings and structures.
