Ninth Grade Talking Points
- Spelling is an important skill that can impact how others perceive your intelligence and attention to detail. As author Mark Twain said, "The difference between the right word and the almost right word is the difference between lightning and a lightning bug."
- Understanding the etymology of words can help you remember their spellings. As Shakespeare once said, "Love all, trust a few, do wrong to none."
- Improving your spelling can enhance your writing and communication skills. As novelist Stephen King stated, "The scariest moment is always just before you start."
