Fourth Grade Talking Points

  • What is tie-dye? "Tie-dye is a fun and creative way to add colorful designs to clothing and accessories by using different colored dyes."
  • How do we create patterns? "We can create patterns by folding, twisting, or tying the fabric before applying the dye. This creates unique designs on the clothing."
  • Why do we need to let it set? "Letting the dyed items sit allows the colors to set and become permanent on the fabric."
  • What should we do after rinsing? "After rinsing, we need to wash and dry the dyed items to make sure the colors stay vibrant and the fabric is clean."
