Materials and Prep
Materials needed:
- Large container of water
- Food coloring
- Ice cubes
- Paintbrushes
- Construction paper
- Plastic bottles
Prep: Fill the large container with water and freeze some ice cubes beforehand.
Activities
1. Watercolor Painting: Allow the student to use the food coloring and paintbrushes to create watercolor paintings on the construction paper, exploring the different ways water and color interact.
2. Ice Sculptures: Have the student use the ice cubes to create sculptures by stacking and arranging them, observing how the ice melts and changes shape over time.
3. Water Bottle Music: Show the student how to fill plastic bottles with different levels of water to create musical tones, allowing them to experiment and make their own "water music".
