Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will be able to identify and discuss the main characters and plot of a story related to Minecraft, and demonstrate comprehension by answering questions about the text.

Materials and Prep

- Xbox with Minecraft game
- Storybook related to Minecraft (can be found online or at a library)
- Notebook and pencil

Prior knowledge of basic reading and comprehension skills.

Activities

1. Read the Minecraft storybook together or have the student read it aloud. Discuss the main characters and the basic plot of the story.

2. Play Minecraft on Xbox and have the student narrate a short story based on their gameplay. Encourage them to use descriptive language and create a beginning, middle, and end for their story.

3. After playing, ask the student to write or dictate a short summary of their Minecraft story in their notebook.
