Materials and Prep

Materials: Blank paper, pencils, erasers

Activities

1. Mindful Writing: Have the student sit in a comfortable position and take a few deep breaths. Encourage them to focus on their breathing for a few moments, then have them write a short story or poem about something they love.

2. Concentration Challenge: Create a simple writing prompt and challenge the student to write without stopping for a set amount of time (e.g., 5 minutes). Encourage them to stay focused and keep writing without getting distracted.

3. Visualize and Write: Show the student a picture or object, and ask them to describe it in writing using as much detail as possible. Encourage them to concentrate on the small details and use descriptive language.
