Objective
By the end of this lesson, the student will be able to identify and describe various reptiles and their characteristics, as well as understand how reptiles are portrayed in literature.
Materials and Prep
Materials: Picture books or online resources about reptiles, paper, crayons or markers
Prep: Familiarize yourself with basic information about different types of reptiles and their characteristics.
Activities
1. Reptile Research: Have the student look at pictures and read about different reptiles. Ask them to draw and label their favorite reptile, and share interesting facts about it.
2. Story Time: Read a story or book about reptiles together. Discuss the characters and their actions, and how they are similar or different from real reptiles.
3. Reptile Art: Encourage the student to create a reptile-themed artwork using paper, crayons, or markers. They can draw a scene with reptiles or create their own reptile character.
