Hello Little Learner! Today we're going to have fun with a very famous snowman named Frosty!

1. Frosty's Song & Story Time (5-7 minutes)

Let's listen to the Frosty the Snowman song or read the story together. Sit comfortably and listen carefully. Can you hear Frosty's name? (Play song or read story)

2. Who is Frosty? (3-5 minutes)

Who was the story/song about? (Guide child to say 'Frosty' or 'Snowman'). That's right! Frosty the Snowman! What did Frosty wear on his head? (Guide: 'Hat'). What color was his nose? (Guide: 'Orange' or 'Carrot' depending on version).

3. Frosty Says... (Movement Break!) (3-5 minutes)

Let's pretend to be Frosty! Stand up!

  • Frosty says... March around! (March in place)
  • Frosty says... Stop! (Freeze)
  • Frosty says... Wave hello! (Wave)
  • Frosty says... Melt a little! (Crouch down)
  • Frosty says... Stand tall like a snowman! (Stand up straight)

(Optional: Use a scarf or hat during this activity)

4. Draw Frosty's Face (3-5 minutes)

Let's draw Frosty! Take your white paper. Can you draw two circles for eyes? (Guide hand if needed). Let's use the orange crayon to make a triangle nose, like a carrot! Good job! Now, let's make a happy smile with little dots (coal).

You did a wonderful job listening and playing Frosty today! Remember how Frosty came to life with his magic hat? That was a fun story!
