Materials and Prep

Materials:

• Construction paper (red, green, and white)
• Glue stick
• Scissors
• Markers or crayons
• Optional: glitter, cotton balls, and stickers

Prep:

• Cut out simple Christmas shapes (e.g., tree, star, snowflake) from the construction paper for younger children who may have difficulty with cutting.
• Set up a workspace with easy access to materials and a clean surface for crafting.

Activities

1. Create a Christmas Tree: Help the student glue green construction paper strips onto a white paper to make a tree shape. Then, add decorations using markers, stickers, and glitter.

2. Make a Snowflake: Guide the student to cut out a snowflake shape from white construction paper and decorate it with markers or glue and glitter.

3. Design a Christmas Card: Assist the student in folding a piece of red construction paper in half to make a card. Then, they can decorate the front with Christmas-themed drawings and messages.
