3. Create a volcano in Minecraft and understand how it relates to the Earth's geology.
Third Grade Talking Points
- Mountains and valleys are different types of landforms. Mountains are very high and valleys are low areas between mountains. In Minecraft, we can see these landforms and understand how they are formed.
- The Earth has different layers. The outer layer is called the crust, the middle layer is called the mantle, and the inner layer is called the core. We can use different blocks in Minecraft to represent these layers and understand their properties.
- Volcanoes are mountains that can erupt and release hot lava. This lava comes from deep inside the Earth. In Minecraft, we can create our own volcano and see how it works.
