Objective

By the end of this lesson, the student will be able to create a short story about love in a science fiction setting.

Materials and Prep

- Paper and crayons/markers

- Familiarity with basic emotions and storytelling

Activities

1. Story Starters: Provide the student with a sentence starter related to love and science fiction (e.g. "In a galaxy far, far away, a robot fell in love with a star"). Encourage them to continue the story.

2. Illustrate the Story: After writing the story, have the student draw a picture to go along with their creation.

3. Share and Discuss: Have the student share their story and drawing with a family member, and discuss the story elements like characters, setting, and emotions.
