Before the lesson, find a picture book about forests and gather the materials listed above. You may also want to do some online research about different types of trees and animals that live in forests.
Activities
1. Read a picture book about forests and discuss the different animals and plants that live there.
2. Draw a picture of your favorite animal that lives in the forest and share why you chose that animal.
3. If you have a small plant or tree branch, observe and discuss its parts such as leaves, stems, and roots.
4. Look up a video or pictures of a forest online and talk about what you see.
