• Sidewalk chalk
• Open outdoor space

Prep:

• Draw a hopscotch grid on the ground using sidewalk chalk.

Activities

1. Introduction to Shapes:

• Discuss and identify the shapes used in the hopscotch grid (squares and rectangles).
• Have the student trace the shapes with their finger and name them.

2. Hopscotch Game:

• Explain the rules of hopscotch and demonstrate how to play.
• Encourage the student to hop into each square and call out the shape they land on.
