Objective

By the end of this lesson, the student will be able to identify and describe characters and settings in a story related to Barbies.

Materials and Prep

Materials: Barbie dolls, Barbie storybook or Barbie-themed book, paper, crayons

Prep: Familiarize yourself with the Barbie storybook or Barbie-themed book to guide the discussion.

Activities

• Read a Barbie storybook or Barbie-themed book together. Encourage the student to point out the characters and settings in the story.

• After reading, have the student draw a picture of their favorite character from the story and the setting where the story takes place.

• Ask the student to describe their drawing and explain why they chose those characters and settings.
