Activities
-
Begin by explaining to the student that today we will be focusing on words that start with the "sh" sound.
Ask the student to brainstorm and write down as many "sh" words as they can think of in 2 minutes.
After 2 minutes, have the student share their list and write the words on a piece of paper.
-
Next, provide the student with a list of "sh" words that you have prepared in advance.
Read each word aloud and ask the student to spell it correctly.
Give feedback and correct any misspelled words.
-
Now, ask the student to choose 5 "sh" words from their own list and write a sentence for each word.
Encourage creativity and remind them to use correct spelling.
-
Finally, have the student read their sentences aloud and ask them to underline the "sh" words in each sentence.
Provide positive feedback and praise their efforts.
