Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will be able to analyze characters and themes in the Warrior Cats book series, and make connections to real-world situations.

Materials and Prep

  • Warrior Cats book series
  • Pen or pencil
  • Paper or notebook

Before starting the lesson, make sure you have read at least one book from the Warrior Cats series.

Activities

  1. Character Analysis:

    Select a character from the Warrior Cats series and create a character profile. Include their name, appearance, personality traits, and any important events or actions they are involved in. Write a short paragraph explaining why you find this character interesting or relatable.

  2. Theme Exploration:

    Identify a theme that you think is present in the Warrior Cats series (e.g. loyalty, bravery, friendship). Write a short paragraph explaining why you think this theme is important and how it is portrayed in the books. Use specific examples from the story to support your ideas.

  3. Real-World Connections:

    Think about how the themes and lessons in the Warrior Cats series can be applied to real-life situations. Write a short paragraph discussing how one of the themes you identified can be relevant in your own life or in society. Provide examples or scenarios to illustrate your point.
