Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will be able to understand the basic principles of physics through the simulation game, Sims.

Materials and Prep

  • A computer or gaming device with the Sims game installed
  • Prior knowledge of how to navigate and play the Sims game

Activities

  1. Start by launching the Sims game on your computer or gaming device.

  2. Create a new Sims household and customize the characters as you wish.

  3. Build a house for your Sims using the in-game tools. Pay attention to the different materials and objects you can use.

  4. Experiment with the physics of the game by manipulating objects and observing the effects. For example, try placing a heavy object on a weak surface and see what happens.

  5. Explore the concept of energy conservation within the game. Observe how Sims characters interact with their environment and how their actions affect their energy levels.

  6. Take note of any interesting physics-related phenomena you encounter during your gameplay.
