- Markers or crayons
Before starting the lesson, make sure you have read the picture book about chickens and familiarized yourself with the content.
Activities
- Read the picture book about chickens together.
- Discuss the different parts of a chicken, such as feathers, beak, and feet. Draw a simple chicken on the whiteboard or paper and label these parts.
- Talk about what chickens eat and their habitat. Explain that chickens are birds and live on a farm. Discuss their diet and draw some of their favorite foods next to the chicken drawing.
- Explain the life cycle of a chicken, starting from an egg. Draw a diagram showing the different stages of a chicken's life: egg, hatching, chick, and adult chicken.
