Activities

Counting Train Cars:
Ask the student to draw a train on the paper. Then, have them count the number of train cars they have drawn. Encourage them to write the number next to the train.

Addition with Train Cars:
Ask the student to draw two trains on the paper, each with a different number of train cars. Have them write the number of train cars for each train. Then, ask them to add the number of train cars together and write the sum.

Subtraction with Train Cars:
Ask the student to draw a train on the paper with a certain number of train cars. Then, ask them to imagine that some train cars have been removed. Have them write the number of train cars remaining and the subtraction equation to represent the situation.
