Before starting this lesson, make sure you have a basic understanding of the different parts of a story, such as characters, setting, and plot.
Activities
- Build a Hot wheels track using the tracks and cars you have. Make it as long and exciting as you can!
- Once you have built your track, think of a story that could happen on this track. It could involve the Hot wheels cars or any other characters you like.
- Use the construction paper, markers or crayons, and scissors to create a backdrop for your story. Draw and cut out different scenes or settings that your story will take place in.
- Arrange your scenes along the Hot wheels track to match the different parts of your story. You can use tape or glue to secure them in place.
- Now, tell your story out loud as you guide the Hot wheels cars along the track. Use descriptive words and phrases to make your story more interesting.
