Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will be able to build and launch a Stomp Rocket successfully.

Materials and Prep

  • Stomp Rocket Kit
  • Open outdoor space
  • Adult supervision (if needed)

Make sure you have enough space outdoors to launch the Stomp Rocket safely. Check the instructions in the Stomp Rocket Kit to familiarize yourself with the parts and assembly process.

Activities

  1. Assemble the Stomp Rocket following the instructions provided in the kit. It usually involves attaching the launch tube to the base and connecting the rocket to the launch tube.

  2. Find an open outdoor space, free from any obstacles or people.

  3. Place the Stomp Rocket on the ground, ensuring it is stable and upright.

  4. Step on the launch pad with your foot and give it a big stomp to launch the rocket into the air.

  5. Observe how high the rocket goes and how far it travels. You can have fun competing with friends or family to see whose rocket goes the highest or the farthest.

  6. Repeat the launching process multiple times to improve your technique and compare the results.

  7. Once you are done, disassemble the Stomp Rocket and store it safely for future use.
