Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will be able to apply arithmetic concepts in the context of Blender 3D software.

Materials and Prep

  • Computer with Blender 3D software installed
  • Pen/pencil and paper
  • Basic understanding of arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)

Activities

  1. Activity 1: Blender Shape Dimensions

Open Blender 3D software and create a simple shape, such as a cube or a sphere. Measure the dimensions of the shape using the software's measuring tools. Write down the measurements.

  2. Activity 2: Scaling Objects

Choose an object in Blender and scale it up or down by a specific factor. Calculate the new dimensions of the object after scaling using arithmetic operations.

  3. Activity 3: Calculating Areas and Volumes

Create different 2D and 3D shapes in Blender and calculate their areas and volumes. Use the appropriate formulas and arithmetic operations to find the results.
