Activities

  1. Activity 1: Drawing Skate Park Obstacles

    Using the graph paper, draw different skate park obstacles such as ramps, rails, and halfpipes. Make sure to include different angles and measurements for each obstacle.

  2. Activity 2: Calculating Angles

    Choose one of the skate park obstacles you drew in Activity 1. Measure the angles involved in the obstacle using the ruler. Calculate the sum of the angles and determine if they form a straight line, right angle, acute angle, or obtuse angle.

  3. Activity 3: Analyzing Movement

    Watch a skateboarding video or observe skateboarders in a park. Identify and describe the different types of movements and angles involved in their tricks and maneuvers. Use your knowledge of geometry to explain how these movements and angles affect the skateboarder's trajectory and balance.
