Materials and Prep

- A helmet
- A flat and smooth surface to practice on
- A responsible adult to supervise
Activities
Warm-up: Start by stretching your legs, arms, and neck to prepare your body for physical activity.
Helmet Safety: Learn about the importance of wearing a helmet while riding a scooter. Put on your helmet and make sure it fits properly.
Balance Practice: Stand next to the scooter with one foot on the ground and the other foot on the scooter. Practice balancing on one foot while pushing the scooter forward with the other foot.
Push and Glide: Push off the ground with one foot and glide on the scooter with the other foot. Try to maintain your balance as you glide forward. Start with short distances and gradually increase the distance as you gain confidence.
Turning: Practice making gentle turns by leaning your body in the direction you want to go. Remember to keep your eyes forward and your body balanced.
Stopping: Learn how to stop the scooter safely by using your foot to press on the ground and slow down gradually.
Cool-down: Finish the lesson by stretching your muscles again to help them relax and recover.
