Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will learn some fun dance moves and be ready to go to a dance party!

Materials and Prep

  • Comfortable clothing
  • Open space to move around
  • Favorite music playlist
  • Positive attitude and enthusiasm

Activities

  • Warm-up: Start by stretching your arms, legs, and neck to get your body ready for dancing.

  • Follow the Leader: Take turns being the leader and create dance moves for the other person to imitate. Have fun and be creative!

  • Free Dance: Put on your favorite music and let loose! Move your body in any way that feels good to you. Express yourself through dance.

  • Dance Routine: Choose one of your favorite songs and create a simple dance routine. Start with a few moves and repeat them to make a sequence. Practice until you feel confident.

  • Dance Game: Play a dance freeze game. Dance to the music and when it stops, freeze in a fun pose. Keep going until you can't stop laughing!
