Objective

By the end of this lesson, the student will be able to understand and use basic French vocabulary related to warrior cats books.

Materials and Prep

• Warrior Cats book (any title)
• Pen and paper

Activities

• Create a Vocabulary List

  Have the student read a few pages of the Warrior Cats book and write down any unfamiliar words or phrases in French. Then, together, look up the translations and write them in a vocabulary list.

• Warrior Cats Word Search

  Create a word search puzzle using French words related to warrior cats. Provide the student with the puzzle and have them find and circle the words.

• Role-play Dialogue

  Write a short dialogue between two warrior cats characters in French. Have the student practice reading the dialogue aloud, taking turns playing each character.

• Book Review in French

  Ask the student to write a short book review of the Warrior Cats book they are reading, but in French. Encourage them to use the vocabulary they have learned and express their opinions about the story.
