Materials and Prep

  • Pencils or crayons
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Construction paper

Prior knowledge required: Basic understanding of alphabet letters and their sounds.

Activities

  1. Read a Paw Patrol book together: Choose a Paw Patrol book that matches your reading level. Read the story aloud, pointing at the words as you go along. Encourage the student to repeat simple words or phrases.
  2. Letter Hunt: Write down the names of different Paw Patrol characters on separate pieces of paper. Hide the papers around the room. Ask the student to find the papers and read the character names out loud.
  3. Paw Patrol Word Search: Create a simple word search puzzle using Paw Patrol-related words. Help the student find and circle the words in the puzzle. Practice reading the words together.
  4. Paw Patrol Collage: Provide the student with Paw Patrol printouts or magazines. Let them cut out pictures of Paw Patrol characters and glue them onto construction paper. Encourage the student to write or dictate a sentence about each character.
