Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will be able to explore the world of Candy Land and enhance your cognitive skills through fun activities.

Materials and Prep

  • A Candy Land board game
  • A set of Candy Land cards
  • Colorful markers or small candies as game pieces
  • A printout of the Candy Land game board (optional)

Before starting the lesson, make sure you are familiar with the rules and gameplay of Candy Land.

Activities

  • Play a game of Candy Land with a family member or friend. Take turns drawing cards and moving your game piece along the colorful path.
  • Create your own Candy Land board on a piece of paper. Use colorful markers or crayons to draw a winding path with different candy-themed locations.
  • Design your own Candy Land cards. Cut out small rectangles from paper and decorate them with colorful candies and sweets.
  • Build a Candy Land-themed obstacle course using pillows, cushions, and other household items. Pretend to be a game piece and navigate through the course.
  • Write a short story or draw a picture about your adventures in Candy Land. Include your favorite candy characters and describe the exciting places you visited.
