Activities

  • Activity 1: Read a paragraph aloud to the student. Ask them to write a summary of the paragraph in two sentences.
  • Activity 2: Provide the student with a different paragraph. This time, ask them to verbally summarize the paragraph in two sentences.
  • Activity 3: Create a game where the student reads a paragraph and challenges you to summarize it in two sentences. Switch roles and let the student summarize while you try to guess the main points.

  • Think about the most important information or details that support the main idea.
  • Use your own words to express the main idea and key details concisely.
