Objective

By the end of this lesson, the student will be able to recognize and identify different princesses and engage in imaginative play related to princess themes.

Materials and Prep

  • Printouts or pictures of various princesses
  • Optional: Dress-up clothes or accessories related to princesses

Activities

  • Create a Princess Collage: Provide the student with a variety of princess pictures. Let them cut out the princesses and glue them onto a piece of paper to create a princess collage.
  • Coloring Princesses: Give the student coloring sheets featuring different princesses. Encourage them to use their imagination and choose their favorite colors for each princess.
  • Princess Dress-up: If available, provide the student with dress-up clothes or accessories related to princesses. Let them explore and engage in imaginative play as a princess.

Talking Points

  • Princesses are characters who often appear in stories and movies.
  • For example, you might say, "Princesses are special characters that we can find in many stories and movies. They usually wear beautiful dresses and have magical adventures."
  • Each princess has her own unique name and appearance.
  • You can mention, "Each princess has her own special name, like Cinderella, Ariel, or Belle. They all look different and have different personalities too."
  • Princesses often have special abilities or powers.
  • You can explain, "Some princesses have special abilities or powers, like Elsa from Frozen who can create ice and snow. It's fun to imagine what we would do if we had magical powers like them."
  • We can pretend to be princesses and have our own magical adventures.
  • Encourage the student by saying, "Let's use our imagination and pretend to be princesses! We can go on our own magical adventures and have lots of fun."
