Activities

  • Spelling Bee: Choose a list of words from a book or online resource. Have a friend or family member give you the words to spell. Keep track of the words you spell correctly and challenge yourself to improve your score each time.
  • Word Scramble: Create a list of words and scramble the letters. Try to unscramble the words and write the correct spelling next to each scrambled word.
  • Spelling Story: Write a short story using as many spelling words as possible. Make sure to use correct spelling and punctuation throughout the story.
  • Spelling Relay: Set up a relay race with a friend or family member. Each person takes turns spelling a word correctly before passing the baton to the next person. The team that completes the relay with the fewest spelling errors wins.
