- Magazines or newspapers
- Old magazines or newspapers

Before the lesson, gather all the materials and make sure they are easily accessible for the student.
Activities
- Create a Collage: Have the student cut out pictures from magazines or newspapers that represent different aspects of their neighborhood, such as houses, trees, or people. Then, they can glue these pictures onto a piece of construction paper to create a collage.
- Neighborhood Map: Help the student draw a map of their neighborhood on a large piece of paper. They can include landmarks like their house, the park, or the grocery store. Encourage them to use different colors to represent different places.
- Build a 3D House: Using empty cereal boxes or cardboard, assist the student in cutting out and assembling a small house. They can then decorate it with paint, markers, or any other art supplies they prefer.
- Create a Neighborhood Puppet Show: Using paper bags or cardboard cutouts, help the student create puppets representing different characters from their neighborhood. They can then put on a puppet show, telling stories about their community.
