Objective

By the end of this lesson, the student will have a basic understanding of the law of attraction and how it relates to visual arts and art appreciation.

Materials and Prep

  • Paper or sketchbook
  • Pencils or colored pencils
  • Optional: magazines or images for collage

No prior knowledge or preparation is required for this lesson.

Activities

  1. Create a Vision Board:

Explain to the student that a vision board is a visual representation of their goals and desires. Provide them with magazines or images they can cut out and glue onto a piece of paper or into a sketchbook. Encourage them to think about what they want to attract into their life and choose images that represent those things.

  2. Draw and Color Positive Affirmations:

Discuss with the student the power of positive thinking and affirmations. Have them write or draw positive affirmations on a separate piece of paper or in their sketchbook. Encourage them to use bright colors and creative designs to make their affirmations visually appealing.

  3. Create an Art Gallery:

Set up a small art gallery in your homeschool space using the student's artwork. Display their vision board and positive affirmations alongside their drawings or other artwork. Encourage the student to explain the meaning behind each piece and how it relates to the law of attraction.
