Activities
- Read a Zoo Story: Start by reading a zoo-themed picture book together. Discuss the different animals mentioned in the story and ask questions to check comprehension.
- Animal Flashcards: Use the animal flashcards to introduce and review different zoo animals. Practice saying the names of the animals and make their sounds.
- Create a Zoo Collage: Provide the student with magazines or printouts of animal pictures. Let them cut out the animals and glue them onto a piece of paper to create their own zoo collage. Encourage them to label the animals if they are able to write.
- Write Animal Names: Write down the names of a few animals from the story or flashcards on separate pieces of paper. Have the student practice reading the animal names aloud.
