Objective

By the end of this lesson, the student will have a basic understanding of the law of attraction and its connection to visual arts. They will also have created their own artwork inspired by the concept.

Materials and Prep

  • Blank paper or sketchbook
  • Colored pencils or markers
  • Optional: magazines or newspapers for collage

No prior knowledge or preparation is required for this lesson.

Activities

  1. Create an "Attraction Collage": Have the student cut out images or words from magazines or newspapers that represent things they would like to attract into their life. They can glue these onto a piece of paper to create a collage.
  2. Visualize and Draw: Ask the student to close their eyes and think about something they want to attract. It could be a specific goal, an object, or a feeling. Then, have them open their eyes and draw a picture of what they visualized.
  3. Positive Affirmation Art: Encourage the student to think of a positive affirmation that aligns with the law of attraction, such as "I am capable of achieving my dreams" or "I attract love and happiness." Have them write or draw this affirmation on a piece of paper, decorating it with colors and patterns.

Talking Points

  • The law of attraction is the belief that positive or negative thoughts can bring about positive or negative experiences in a person's life. It's like a magnet - what you think and believe, you attract.
  • When we visualize something we want to attract, it helps us focus our thoughts and energy towards that goal. It's like creating a picture in our mind.
  • Creating an "Attraction Collage" allows us to visually represent our desires and goals. When we see these images regularly, it helps keep our focus on what we want to attract.
  • Drawing what we visualize helps us bring it to life on paper. It's a way to make our thoughts and desires more tangible.
  • Positive affirmations are like positive statements that we repeat to ourselves. By writing or drawing them, we reinforce these positive beliefs and attract more positive experiences.
  • Remember, the law of attraction is not about magical thinking, but about setting goals, having a positive mindset, and taking action towards what we want.
  • Art can be a powerful tool for expressing our desires, dreams, and positive beliefs. It allows us to tap into our creativity and visualize what we want to attract.
