Materials and Prep

- Printed pictures of horses
- Access to online resources or books about horses in Japanese
No prior knowledge of Japanese is required.
Activities
- Activity 1: Horse Vocabulary Matching Game
- Activity 2: Horse Breeds Research
- Activity 3: Horse Dialogue
Print out pictures of horses and their corresponding Japanese names. Cut them out and mix them up. Have the student match the pictures with the correct Japanese word.
Ask the student to choose a specific horse breed they are interested in. Using online resources or books in Japanese, have them research and write down the breed name, characteristics, and any other interesting facts in Japanese.
Provide the student with a dialogue script related to horses in Japanese. Have them practice reading and acting out the dialogue with a partner or by themselves.
