Activities
- Reading Weather Books: Read weather-themed books or articles together. Discuss the main ideas, characters, and any new vocabulary words you come across.
- Weather Vocabulary: Use the weather flashcards to introduce and review weather-related vocabulary words. Show each flashcard, say the word, and have the student repeat it. Then, ask the student to match the flashcard with the corresponding picture.
- Weather Word Hunt: Create a word hunt activity by writing weather-related words on the whiteboard or large paper. Hide the flashcards around the room and ask the student to find them. Once a flashcard is found, have the student match it to the written word on the whiteboard or paper.
- Weather Drawing: Have the student choose their favorite type of weather and draw a picture representing it. Encourage them to include any relevant details, such as raindrops, clouds, or a sun.
