Objective

By the end of this lesson, the student will be able to introduce themselves, count from 1 to 10, and greet others in Spanish.

Materials and Prep

  • Flashcards with Spanish vocabulary (colors, numbers, greetings)
  • Whiteboard or paper and markers
  • Printouts of worksheets for practice

Activities

  • Activity 1: Introduce Yourself - Have the student practice introducing themselves in Spanish. Encourage them to say their name, age, and a fun fact about themselves.
  • Activity 2: Counting Fun - Use flashcards or draw numbers on the whiteboard. Have the student practice counting from 1 to 10 in Spanish. Make it interactive by asking them to count objects in the room.
  • Activity 3: Greetings Game - Create flashcards with different greetings in Spanish. Play a matching game where the student has to match the Spanish greeting with its English translation.
  • Activity 4: Worksheets - Provide the student with worksheets to reinforce the vocabulary and concepts covered in the lesson. Include coloring activities, fill in the blanks, and simple word searches.
