Materials and Prep

No prior knowledge is required for this lesson.
Activities
- Create a personal timeline: Instruct the student to create a timeline of their own life, starting with their birth and including important events such as starting school or learning to ride a bike. Encourage them to illustrate each event.
- Historical event timeline: Provide the student with a list of significant historical events, such as the invention of the telephone or the first moon landing. Ask them to research and create a timeline of these events, again using illustrations.
- Collaborative timeline: Have the student work with a sibling or a friend. Together, they can create a timeline of important events in their friendship, including when they first met, memorable outings, or shared experiences.
