Objective

Materials and Prep

- Bird identification book or printouts

- Access to a window or outdoor area

Activities
- Go on a bird-watching adventure: Encourage the student to observe birds in their natural habitat. If possible, provide binoculars to enhance their experience. Ask them to draw or describe the birds they see.
- Create a bird identification chart: Show the student pictures of different birds and help them create a chart with the names and characteristics of each bird.
- Make a bird feeder: Help the student make a simple bird feeder using materials like pinecones, peanut butter, and birdseed. Hang it outside and observe the birds that come to feed.
- Play a bird sounds guessing game: Play different bird sounds and ask the student to guess which bird is making each sound. Provide clues if needed.
