Materials and Prep

  • Pen or pencil
  • Blank paper or notebook
  • Access to a computer or smartphone with internet

Prior knowledge of basic spelling rules and vocabulary is helpful, but not required.

Activities

  1. Word Hunt: Choose a Fortnite-related word, such as "victory" or "battle royale." Write it down and challenge yourself to find as many words as possible using only the letters from the chosen word. Keep track of your progress and aim to beat your own record each time you play.

  2. Spelling Bee: Create a list of challenging Fortnite-related words. Practice spelling them aloud, either by yourself or with a study partner. Hold a spelling bee competition to test your skills and see who can spell the most words correctly.

  3. Word Puzzles: Search online for Fortnite-themed word puzzles, such as crosswords or word searches. Solve them to improve your spelling while having fun. Alternatively, create your own word puzzles using Fortnite-related vocabulary and challenge a friend or family member to solve them.

  4. Writing Prompts: Choose a Fortnite character or scenario and write a short story or descriptive paragraph using proper spelling and grammar. Challenge yourself to incorporate as many new vocabulary words as possible to enhance your writing skills.
