Objective

By the end of this lesson, the student will be able to improve their spelling skills through engaging activities related to the Bungo Stray Dogs series.

Materials and Prep

  • Paper and pen/pencil
  • Access to Bungo Stray Dogs books or episodes
  • Dictionary (optional)

Activities

  1. Character Spelling Challenge: Choose a character from Bungo Stray Dogs and write down their name. Set a timer for 5 minutes and challenge yourself to write down as many words as you can using only the letters from the character's name. For example, if you choose the character "Atsushi Nakajima," you can make words like "man," "kin," "jam," etc. Compare your list with a friend or family member when the time is up.

  2. Spelling Bee: Create a list of 10 challenging words related to Bungo Stray Dogs. Practice spelling them out loud or writing them down. Then, challenge someone else in your household to a friendly spelling bee competition. Take turns giving each other words to spell. Keep score and see who can spell the most words correctly.

  3. Word Search: Create a Bungo Stray Dogs-themed word search puzzle using characters, locations, or important terms from the series. Include both horizontal and vertical words. Once you have created the puzzle, exchange it with a friend or family member and see if they can find all the hidden words.
