Activities

  1. Research a famous election

    Choose a famous election from history (e.g., the 2008 US presidential election) and research it. Find out the candidates, key issues, and the outcome. Take notes on what you find interesting or surprising.

  2. Create an election campaign poster

    Imagine you are running for a position in your school government. Design a campaign poster that highlights your key qualities and the changes you would like to make. Use colors, images, and slogans to make it eye-catching.

  3. Hold a mock election

    Choose a topic or issue that is important to your homeschool community. Divide into groups representing different candidates or positions. Present your arguments and campaign to your family members or friends. Hold a vote and discuss the results.

  4. Create a presentation on voting rights

    Research the history of voting rights and create a short presentation using a presentation software. Include key milestones, such as the women's suffrage movement or the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Present your findings to your family or friends.
