Talking Points
- "Lions are big cats that live in Africa. They have a special body part called a mane that only male lions have. It looks like a big, fluffy collar around their necks. Can you imagine having a mane like a lion?"
- "Lions are very strong and can run fast. They use their strong legs and sharp claws to catch their food. What do you think lions like to eat?"
- "Lions have a very loud roar. It sounds like a big rumble. Can you try to make a loud roar like a lion?"
- "Lions live in groups called prides. The male lions protect the pride and the female lions take care of the cubs. Can you think of other animals that live in groups?"
- "Lions have excellent night vision, which means they can see well in the dark. They have eyes that reflect light, just like a flashlight. Can you make your eyes glow like a lion's?"
