Talking Points

  • "Money is something we use to buy things. It can be in the form of coins or bills. Can you show me a coin? How about a bill?"

  • "Coins have different values. Some are worth more than others. Let's sort them into groups based on their values. Can you tell me the value of this coin?"

  • "When we go to a store, we use money to buy things we want or need. Let's pretend to be in a store. You can be the shopkeeper and I'll be the customer. How much does this item cost?"

  • "We can also save our money in a piggy bank or jar. It's like a special container that keeps our money safe. How much money do you have in your piggy bank? Let's count it together!"

  • "Sometimes we can find money hidden in unexpected places, like a treasure hunt! Let's go on a virtual treasure hunt and see if we can find any pictures of coins or bills online. What do you think we can buy with this money?"

  • "Remember, money is important because it helps us buy things we need, like food and clothes. It's also important to save some money for the future. Can you think of something you would like to buy with your money?"
