Activities
- 1. Choose a Country: Use a world map or globe to randomly select a country. Close your eyes, spin the globe or point to a location on the map, and whatever country your finger lands on will be the country you study for this lesson.
- 2. Research: Use the internet or reference books to gather information about your chosen country. Find out about its location, capital city, official language, population, famous landmarks, traditional food, and any interesting facts or customs.
- 3. Create a Fact Sheet: Write down all the important information you found about the country on a piece of paper. Include a map or draw the country's flag if you like.
- 4. Traditional Food Tasting: Prepare or find a recipe for a traditional dish from the country you are studying. With adult supervision, try making and tasting the dish to get a sense of the country's cuisine.
- 5. Cultural Collage: Collect pictures or printouts of famous landmarks, traditional clothing, and other aspects of the country's culture. Create a collage using these images to visually represent the country's unique characteristics.
