Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will be able to introduce yourself in Spanish, count from 1 to 20, and have a basic understanding of Spanish culture.

Materials and Prep

No prior knowledge of Spanish is required for this lesson.

Activities

  • Activity 1: Introduce Yourself in Spanish
  • Write down a short self-introduction in English, and then translate it into Spanish using a dictionary or online tool. Practice saying it out loud until you feel comfortable.

  • Activity 2: Counting in Spanish
  • Practice counting from 1 to 20 in Spanish. Write down the numbers and their corresponding Spanish words. Repeat them out loud to improve pronunciation.

  • Activity 3: Spanish Culture Research
  • Choose a topic related to Spanish culture that interests you, such as food, music, or holidays. Research and write a short paragraph about it in English. Then, try to find the Spanish translation for key words or phrases related to your chosen topic.
