Activities

Print or draw pictures of different biomes such as rainforest, desert, tundra, etc. Color them and label the different features.
Choose one biome that interests you and research more about it. Write down at least three interesting facts about the plants and animals that live in that biome.
Create a diorama of your favorite biome using art supplies and materials you have at home. Include different plants and animals that are characteristic of that biome.

- Biomes are large areas on Earth with similar climate, plants, and animals.
- Some examples of biomes are rainforests, deserts, tundras, grasslands, and oceans.
- Rainforests are hot and humid with lots of trees and animals like monkeys and colorful birds.
- Deserts are dry and sandy with cacti and animals like camels and scorpions.
- Tundras are cold and have little vegetation. Animals like polar bears and reindeer can be found there.
- Grasslands have tall grasses and animals like zebras and elephants.
- Oceans are large bodies of saltwater with many different plants and animals, including whales and coral reefs.
